Overview
Clinic will take place June 3rd, 5-9 PM
The RISE x GRIND: Stunt & Strength Clinic is designed to give athletes a high-level training experience that combines elite cheerleading instruction with true athletic performance training. This partnership brings together experienced RISE Cheer coaches and the performance staff at GRIND Academy to create an environment focused on skill development, strength, and progression. The goal of this clinic is to help athletes continue to grow over the summer by building stronger stunt technique, improving overall performance quality, and developing the strength and conditioning needed to perform at a higher level. This is an intentional, structured training experience built for athletes who want to improve and be challenged.

Age requirements
This clinic is designed for athletes entering middle school and older.
Exceptions may be considered for younger athletes who have prior cheerleading experience and are able to attend with a full stunt group. Due to the structure and pace of this clinic, it is important that all participants are able to safely perform and keep up within a group setting.
If you would like to request an age exception, please email Karime.Balelo@risecheerleading.com with details about the athlete and stunt group.
why bring a stunt group?
Athletes are strongly encouraged to attend with their full stunt group.
Training with a consistent group allows athletes to work at the appropriate skill level, get more quality reps, and progress more quickly. Stunt groups that train together build stronger timing, trust, and overall execution.
A full stunt group consists of 5 athletes. The cost is $40 per athlete.
Registering as an individual
Athletes are absolutely welcome to attend individually.
Those who register without a full stunt group will be grouped with other athletes to form stunt groups for the clinic. While we will do our best to create balanced groups, we cannot guarantee that all athletes will be placed with others at the same skill level.
In some cases, athletes may be asked to stunt in a different position than they are used to in order to create complete groups.
If you are able to bring even 2 or 3 athletes, we will do our best to keep you together. We encourage athletes to bring teammates or friends whenever possible.
At the beginning of the clinic, athletes will complete a brief stunt evaluation after warm-up. This allows coaches to place athletes into groups based on skill level to ensure safe progression and appropriate challenges.
Spark
Focus on foundational skills including prep-level stunts, two-foot extensions, and basic dismounts. Emphasis is placed on technique, body control, and consistency.
Flame
Focus on intermediate skills including release moves and full twists to and from prep level, prep level inversions, and intermediate dismounts. Athletes will build toward more creative stunt transitions and connections.
Fire
Focus on advanced level skills including release moves and full twists to extended positions, advance inversion releases, as well as advanced dismounts. Athletes will be challenged with higher-level stunt sequences and pyramid work when appropriate.
All groups will be coached with safety as the top priority while still pushing athletes to grow and improve.
